We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist & AI Project Lead to join our Data Science department at the STADA Group. This role requires a unique combination of hands-on data science expertise and project management capabilities. The ideal candidate will have the ability to build data science models while also managing and steering external vendors and cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of larger data science, AI and Generative AI (GenAI) initiatives. RESPONSIBILITIES *Lead and oversee end-to-end execution of data science and GenAI projects, ensuring alignment with business goals. *Coordinate with external & internal data teams and vendors to optimize project outcomes. *Run and steer (Gen)AI projects by orchestrating different stakeholders, teams and external suppliers. *Drive collaboration across different business functions to gather requirements, refine objectives. *Develop, fine-tune, and implement machine learning models and algorithms for predictive analytics and GenAI applications. *Adapt existing data science solutions to new but similar business use cases, optimizing performance and applicability. *Conduct hands-on data analysis and model development for smaller-scale projects where direct implementation is feasible. *Ensure high-quality documentation of workflows, methodologies, and project outcomes for transparency and continuous improvement. *Present analytical insights and project progress to stakeholders, translating complex findings into actionable business strategies. REQUIREMENTS *Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related scientific field. *5+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, and analytics, with a strong focus on AI-driven solutions. *Proven track record in running data science projects and coordinating internal and external teams. *Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL, with experience in data processing and visualization tools (e.g. Alteryx, Azure Data Factory, Tableau, Power BI). *Hands-on experience in developing and fine-tuning machine learning models. Hands-on experience with Generative AI technologies is a plus. *Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for adapting and scaling existing models to new business use cases. *Hands-on entrepreneurial mindset with a clear focus on value delivery. *Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business teams. *Experience in the pharmaceutical or FMCG industry is a plus.
