Project Quality Leader

Overview Join to apply for the Project Quality Leader role at GE Vernova . We are looking for a Project Quality Leader in charge of quality of projects. As part of a project team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance to quality requirements within the framework of the GE procedures and standards as well as contractual customer requirements. Responsibilities Project Launch : In the initial phase of the project, read, understand, and analyze the Project Contract in relation to QA and QC requirements; ensure the project team is informed by communicating these requirements during kick-off meetings; involve suppliers and internal teams; define project-specific processes and documentation to meet contractual and customer requirements; consolidate lessons learned from previous projects to prevent issues; work with the Project Director to define a comprehensive QA strategy and risk identification; translate risks into actionable mitigation plans; prepare the Project Quality Plan and Inspection Test Plan (ITP); secure customer approval and communicate to relevant functions for effective execution. Project Execution : ensure compliance with project processes and tools (PGR, PMR, R&O, DR, NCR, CoQ); coordinate mitigation efforts to reduce project risks and prevent defects; prepare ITP / ITPPs in accordance with contract requirements; coordinate quality inspections with customer and supply chain; oversee the preparation and delivery of the project databook; ensure quality records meet customer requirements and are submitted timely and approved; monitor performance with metrics such as the Voice of the Customer (VoC) score, defect escape rates, and cost of non-quality; lead the VoC process to collect and address periodic customer feedback. Site Preparation : adapt project best practices to ensure smooth site execution; support the Site Leader and Site Manager in preparing necessary resources; assist in coordinating training programs; ensure personnel qualifications are met; ensure relevant information is provided to the team to enable high-quality execution. Site Execution : ensure activities are performed according to GE requirements; maintain valid documentation and adhere to the control plan; oversee staff qualifications and the maintenance of tools (calibration, parameter recording); ensure qualifications for tasks such as welding and painting; ensure quality records are completed; coordinate with third parties and customers to ensure compliance; perform regular process audits at the site (document control, testing / measurement devices, storage of materials); assess critical processes like welding, painting, and material traceability; keep up-to-date qualifications for special processes; support preparation of documentation to protect GE in the event of third-party claims; ensure that Red Mark to As-Built documentation is completed accurately. Required Qualifications Education : Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial preferred)Experience : Strong background in Quality, Project Management, or Site Operations, with solid industrial knowledge in manufacturing environments, ideally including casting, forging, welded structures, machining operations, and assembly. Demonstrated rigor in compliance, quality assurance, and EHS standards. Language : Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
