ROLE SUMMARY: King’s College School, La Moraleja, a leading British international school in Madrid, is seeking an adaptable and enthusiastic Teacher of Humanities/PE to join our secondary team. This role is ideal for either a PE specialist able to teach KS3 Humanities (History/Geography) or a Humanities specialist able to contribute to Secondary PE. For more information and to register, please click here: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Deliver high-quality teaching across Humanities and/or PE, aligned with departmental and whole-school expectations. Contribute to a strong departmental ethos built on purpose, pride, and excellent teaching and learning. Support the implementation of robust quality-assurance processes within the subject areas. Lead by example as an excellent classroom practitioner who inspires students and promotes lifelong learning. Support colleagues’ development and ensure appropriate work is set in cases of staff absence. Uphold all school policies relating to safeguarding, behaviour, health and safety, and professional standards. Assist in curriculum development, departmental planning, and creation of teaching resources. Work collaboratively with Heads of Humanities and PE to maintain high standards across the departments. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE: Bachelor’s degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) . Minimum of two years’ experience in British National Curriculum schools (UK or international). Evidence of strong classroom practice and positive academic impact. Strong understanding of assessment for learning and data-informed planning. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective professional relationships. Desirable: ability to contribute to Further curriculum areas, KS coordination experience, leadership-focused professional development (e.g., NPQ).
