DESCRIPTION
The European Emerging Marketing Finance team has an opening for an experienced, highly analytical individual to join our team as a Finance Analyst.
We're looking for a collaborative and forward-thinking person to join our Europe-wide team. In this key role, you will be the finance partner and trusted advisor to a key strategic area of the business - EU Emerging, ensuring that the drivers of performance are well understood, providing your business partners with actionable insights, performing forecasts and building strategic plans. Just like a CFO of a business, you will act as a go-to person for all finance related questions for your business area. Your role will involve close collaboration with various EU and US based marketing, business and finance teams.

Key job responsibilities
- Act as a business partner to your designated marketing area, by collaborating with the business on analysis and insight generation to support decision making.
- Own and evolve the investment framework for your business area; assess business cases and support business development within your channel.
- Lead regular business reviews (weekly, monthly and quarterly) and deep dive into performance drivers where necessary.
- Build accurate forecasts, lead business and strategic plans for your area.
- Regularly interact with Directors and senior leadership to explain the performance of your channel and to suggest areas of improvement.
- Develop ad-hoc business analysis and strategies, and present recommendations to senior management.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or a Bachelor's degree and experience in quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance).
- Experience in multiple finance and accounting roles.
- Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.
- Experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making.
- Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA, or CPA.
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL.
- Experience in identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan.
- Experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits).
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
