Job Title: Data Engineering Director

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will lead the definition and implementation of data governance policies including cataloging, data lineage, data quality, and security. You will ensure regulatory compliance and the reliability of organizational data assets.

Data Architecture
  • Design and implement scalable, maintainable, and efficient data architectures.
  • FUTURE-PROOF THE INFRASTRUCTURE to handle increasing data volume and complexity.
Collaboration and Leadership
  • Partner with key stakeholders (business, data science, marketing, etc.) to gather data requirements.
  • Provide transparency on project progress and deliver impactful data solutions.
  • Drive adoption of best practices in data engineering such as CI/CD, automated testing, and proactive monitoring.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, ideally in high-scale or distributed environments.
  • Proven expertise in data technologies such as Spark, Airflow, DBT, Kafka, Snowflake, and/or Databricks.
  • Hands-on experience applying DevOps principles to data pipelines: CI/CD, version control, monitoring, and testing.
  • Strong ability to design and implement data models for analytics, BI, and machine learning applications.
  • Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), especially data-related services.
  • Excellent communication skills for translating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated leadership or mentorship experience within technical teams.
