Join Our Team as a Process Engineer for Battery Cells Assembly

CIDETEC Energy Storage is seeking a highly motivated Process Engineer to join our Energy Materials Unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for improving the process of cell assembly and obtaining in-depth knowledge of the main parameters affecting the cell assembly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyse the assembly process and identify critical parameters to optimize the process.
  • Determine failure modes of the assembled cells, relating them to the corresponding assembling step and define corrective actions to mitigate the failures.
  • Closely communicate with machine suppliers during new equipment search and new equipment fine-tuning at facilities.
  • Elaborate process documentation.
  • Plan technical tasks.
  • Participate in different projects focused on cell assembly tasks.
  • Manage projects documentation, both internal and external, including writing project reports.

Requirements:
  • Process engineer, mechanical engineer, mechatronic engineer, or battery engineer degree.
  • High level of written and spoken English.
  • Sound knowledge in manufacturing processes.
  • Technical knowledge on batteries will be considered a plus.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and also independently.
  • Being able to carry out several lines of work simultaneously, optimizing resources and maximizing results.
