We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Software Engineer to join our team at Signode, a leading provider of warehouse automation solutions. As a Warehouse Automation Software Developer, you will play a key role in the development of our solutions portfolio.
About the Role
- Develop and modify software for Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) using Siemens and Allen Bradley platforms.
- Integrate and set up automation components, including motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), encoders, and other industrial devices.
- Collaborate with the remote assistance team to provide technical support and troubleshooting.
- Commission and test systems on-site to ensure seamless integration.
- Develop communication drivers with PLCs and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Siemens and Rockwell PLCs, as well as industrial protocols.
- Strong understanding of electrical drawings and schematics.
- Ability to travel for on-site commissioning and testing.
