Renewable Energy Permitting Expert

We are seeking an experienced Environmental and Permitting Specialist to join our Onshore Development Team in Zaragoza, Spain. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing support to ongoing and new development projects, preparing and submitting permit applications, and interpreting current and future national and local regulations.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong understanding of environmental and permitting regulations, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders. You will also need to be highly organized, accurate, and able to work well under pressure.
Key Responsibilities- Provide support to ongoing and new development projects, including permitting and regulatory needs.
- Prepare, submit, and manage various types of permit applications.
- Interpret current and future national and local regulations.
- Participate in due diligence processes.
- Prepare client overviews of development status, including risk investment.
- Interface with clients, government regulators, other contractors, and representatives.
- Possess relevant education, such as a bachelor's degree in engineering, meteorology, environmental studies, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in the development of energy projects.
- Experience in interfacing with national and local authorities, municipalities, and agencies.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing and submitting compliance reports for water concession, environmental authorization, urban compatibility, etc.
- Demonstrated experience in obtaining relevant permits for chemical plants. Expertise in analyzing and interpreting prevailing regulations.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact across multiple business units and stakeholders.
- Successfully perform multiple tasks with strict deadlines.
- Highly proficient English skills - written and verbal.
