About the Role:

Ferrovial Energy is seeking a skilled Renewable Energy Developer to join our team. As a key member of our renewable energy development team, you will be responsible for managing the origination and development of renewable energy projects, including onshore and offshore wind, solar PV, and energy storage projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify optimal locations for renewable energy project development and negotiate land rights with landowners.
  • Lead the permitting process, ensuring all necessary permits, licenses, and authorizations are obtained in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Obtain grid access and interconnection rights to the electrical grid, considering designs that minimize environmental and social impact.
  • Develop commercial and strategic relationships with potential clients, partners, and collaborators in each market.
  • Manage development services providers, technical advisors, and consultants to support development activities.
  • Maintain relationships with local, regional, and national administrations, DNO/TSO, and other entities/agencies for the expedited processing of permits, licenses, and authorizations.

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree associated with electrical power systems and/or electrical engineering.
  • Proven track record and experience in a similar role for more than 3 years.
  • Candidates with experience of working directly for renewable energy developers are preferred.
  • Familiarity with project permitting is required.
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills, strategic vision, and appetite to succeed and be commercially astute.
