This role reports to an engineering manager and offers a dynamic work environment with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
Key responsibilities include working as a design authority for engineering disciplines with low to medium complexity, completing assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner, and showcasing knowledge by applying basic design thinking / design for excellence concepts in projects.
The work model for this role is fully remote, offering flexibility and work-life balance.
Main areas of accountability include working out concepts and developing application software for machine automation, providing customer support for hardware and software portfolios, technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities, holding technical customer training courses, becoming an expert in specialized technology areas, and collaborating effectively with customers to guide their projects towards successful completion.
Qualifications for this role include a technical education followed by at least 2 years' experience in software engineering, systems engineering, mechatronics engineering, or similar, experience and confidence using common programming languages used in automation, knowledge of motion control, robotics, machine vision, and IoT, enjoyment of direct customer contact, ability to work in a dynamic team, motivation, solution-oriented approach, and networking skills. Additionally, fluency in Spanish and English communication are essential.
