About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer to join our team at American Express Global Business Travel. As a key member of our Data/ML engineering practice, you will be responsible for leading the development of our machine learning platforms and ensuring the delivery of high-quality data products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with technologists across the business to collaboratively solve complex problems and drive innovation in data engineering and machine learning.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our data infrastructure and architecture, and design and implement scalable, resilient, and stable solutions.
  • Lead collaboration with key partners and contribute subject matter expertise to develop unique solutions to complex issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning and data engineering, and apply this knowledge to drive business value and improve our data products.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in software development, with a strong background in machine learning and data engineering.
  • Proven experience in data modeling, schema design patterns, and modern data access patterns, including API, streaming, and data lake.
  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies, including AWS, and experience with data products to support batch and real-time DS, ML, and Deep learning applications.
  • Proficiency in platform development using Java/Python and SQL, and experience with Sagemaker or equivalent, feature store, dashboards, etc.
