About the Opportunity
Urban Sports Club is a leading sports and wellness platform that is revolutionizing the way people connect with sports. We're a dynamic and innovative company that is shaping the future of sports and wellness, and we're looking for a talented Cloud Security Engineer to join our team.
Your Role
As our Cloud Security Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our cloud infrastructure. This includes reviewing and assessing cloud architecture designs, collaborating with our SRE team to implement effective security measures, conducting regular security assessments and audits, and mentoring and collaborating with development and operations teams regarding cloud security best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Cloud Architecture Review: Review and assess cloud architecture designs to ensure the infrastructure and applications are hardened against abuse and nefarious activity.
- Cloud Security Strategy: Collaborate closely with the SRE team to ensure the implementation of effective security measures that support their objective of delivering scalable on-demand infrastructure.
- Security Assessments: Conduct regular security assessments and audits of cloud environments to identify vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and potential risks.
- Security Collaboration: Mentor and collaborate with development and operations teams regarding cloud security best practices, secure coding techniques, and data protection measures.
- Security Controls: Implement security controls to prevent misconfigurations of cloud resources and enhance security observability by enforcing best practices for cloud infrastructure.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of the modern security landscape.
- Extensive experience in implementing security frameworks and compliance practices in a cloud-native environment.
- Strong software engineering skills, including experience with secure coding practices and familiarity with common programming languages such as Python or Go.
- Expertise in container security, CI/CD pipelines, and other DevSecOps practices.
