**Job Overview**
Amazon is seeking an experienced software development lead to join our Logistics Innovation Engineering team. As a system development engineer, you will be responsible for leading the software development of new robotic products to integrate into our Delivery Station of the future.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in industrial automation systems, robotics, and software development. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to strategize, define, and manage the software development of robotics technologies for the AMZL Delivery Stations.
**Key Responsibilities**
As a sys dev engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and continuously improving software for AMZL
- Working with product owners and system developers to define and develop the software structure for new concepts for AMZL with automation and robotics technology
- Deep diving into understanding software of new techs made by vendors and how to integrate them in the AMZL Software Architecture
- Testing and commissioning the developed software on machines deployed in Innovation Centers WW as well as on busy operational sites
**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, automation engineering, or equivalent
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
- Experience in systems design, software development, operations, automation, and process improvement
- Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
- Experience designing or architecting new and existing systems
