About the Guest Environment Expert Role

The Guest Environment Expert is responsible for maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of the hotel. They are skilled in various housekeeping functions, including delivering guest requests, stocking carts, cleaning rooms and public areas.

The role is vital in creating a great guest experience. Success in this role depends on ensuring a safe workplace, adhering to company policies, maintaining confidentiality, upholding quality standards, and presenting a professional appearance and communication.

Guest Environment Experts will be on their feet, moving around, and handling tasks such as moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms on a regular, daily schedule.
  • Remove all trash and dirty linen from public spaces, hallways, and rooms.
  • Maintain cleanliness in hallways, public areas, and closets, including vacuuming.
  • Restock carts with cleaning and sanitization supplies.
  • Replenish chemical bottles as needed.
  • Ensure overall cleanliness satisfaction for all rooms, public spaces, and guest touch points.
  • Report any maintenance issues immediately to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager.
  • Clean and sanitize according to brand standards.
