Job Overview

The British College of Gava, an IB World School near Barcelona, is seeking an exceptional Mathematics teacher to teach across KS3, GCSE, and IBDP AI and AA Mathematics groups. This is a full-time, fixed-term position for one year, covering a paternity leave. The successful candidate will join an excellent team and contribute to the school's growth and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver engaging lessons that maximize student learning opportunities.
  • Plan and implement effective lesson plans, ensuring timely submission and sharing with colleagues.
  • Develop and maintain a stimulating classroom environment, promoting student engagement and resource utilization.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to students, involving them in the target setting process.
  • Set homework that consolidates and extends classroom learning, based on individual student needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and ensure smooth transitions when students change classes or schools.
  • Develop and maintain a positive home-school partnership, consulting with and informing parents about student progress and attainment.

Requirements
  • Experience in teaching IGCSE/A Level and/or IBDP is essential.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to inspire students to learn.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with a willingness to contribute to the wider curriculum.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and a willingness to undergo enhanced police checks.
