Senior DevOps Engineer

BASF SE is seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our DevHub platform, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure to ensure high-quality, scalable, and responsive software solutions.
Responsibilities- Develop, run, and automate CI/CD pipelines using Infrastructure as Code.
- Monitor cloud PaaS and IaaS components for availability, performance, and security.
- Ensure compliance with BASF security guidelines and best practices.
- Support and enable use cases on the DevHub Platform.
- Contribute to the improvement of internal development processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience as a Cloud System Engineer or DevOps Engineer.
- Experience in software development methodologies such as Kanban or Scrum.
- Cloud Expertise: Demonstrated experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Strong experience with Terraform/CDKTF for provisioning and managing infrastructure.
- Kubernetes: Hands-on experience with setting up, configuring, and managing Kubernetes clusters.
- Extensive experience in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong focus on GitHub Actions for CI/CD workflows.
- Familiarity with best practices in automated testing, deployment, and monitoring.
- Agile Methodologies: Proven experience working in Agile environments.
- Product Thinking: Ability to approach problems with a product mindset, focusing on delivering value to end-users.
- Collaboration and Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
