About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at Alcoa Usa Group. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety and stability of our water dams and waste deposits, adhering to approved designs and strict legal and environmental regulations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support the management of water dam and waste deposit safety and stability, following approved designs and adhering to legal and environmental regulations.
- Contribute to the implementation and compliance of emergency plans related to water dams and waste deposits, adhering to current legislation and health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Identify innovative solutions to problems related to Alcoa's water dams.
Requirements:
- INGENIERO/A DE MINAS (preferably with specialization in geotechnical engineering).
- Experience in mining operations, quarries, and waste disposal.
- Strong understanding of water dams and waste deposits.
- Medium to high level of English proficiency.
- Valid driving license.
- Master's degree in Risk Prevention (desired).
