About the Role
We are seeking a Director of Legal to join Seqera’s G&A leadership team, reporting directly to the VP of Finance. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for leading all company legal matters, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations across various jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
- Contract management: Oversee customer contract negotiations, ensuring local laws are complied with, and collaborate cross-functionally with sales, customer success, and finance.
- Corporate governance: Ensure compliance with laws and regulations in all jurisdictions, including Spain and the USA, where most of our operations take place, and assist in corporate governance matters, including board and shareholder meetings.
- Legal policies and processes: Set up the legal function for success, implementing new policies and processes, ensuring the company's risks are covered, including GDPR best practices. Provide guidance to other company functions with legal matters, such as assisting the procurement function with vendor contract reviews and supporting the people team with employment law matters.
