About the Role

Vèringer Engineering is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Welding and NDT Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for the development and management of the technical area of welding and non-destructive testing (NDE) at the departmental level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Documentation Review and Validation: Review, clarify, and validate documentation from various manufacturers related to welding procedures, thermal treatments, non-destructive testing procedures, pressure testing, and equipment leakage procedures.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to discipline leaders during the bid submission phase, ensuring the verification of technical dossiers and contract requirements applicable to the welding area and NDE.
  • Inspection Plan Development: Support discipline leaders in the development of pipe and equipment material inspection plans (ITPs).
  • Project Engineering: Provide technical support to discipline leaders during the development of project engineers.
  • Quality Control Surveillance: Offer technical support for quality control surveillance (QCS) on issues related to welding and NDT, including occasional presence in project meetings and workshops with suppliers, manufacturers, and clients.
  • Self-Management and Communication: Demonstrate self-management, dynamism, determination, and excellent communication skills, with the ability to work in multicultural and multi-project environments.
Requirements
  • Education: A degree in welding engineering, welding technology, or a related field, with a minimum of International Welding Engineering (IWE) accreditation.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar function, with a strong background in welding and NDE.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and MS Project or equivalent.
  • Language: Fluency in English is mandatory, with French and/or Italian being valuable assets.
