Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Director of Digital Innovations to lead our efforts in developing, deploying, and selling new technology products, solutions, and R&D projects. As a Director of Digital Innovations, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our organization's technology vision, strategy, and execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and communicate the technology vision, aligning it with overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to create a technology product development roadmap that supports growth and efficiency.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and develop business cases to pitch for internal and external funding.
  • Develop a product investment portfolio that meets business goals.
  • Identify opportunities for product line expansion via acquisition or partnerships.
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, analysts, and project managers.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Set performance goals, conduct regular reviews, and provide constructive feedback.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and advancements as they relate to the FMD portfolio of products and future DoD needs.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the technology segment and across the portfolio companies.

  • Identify DoD R&D opportunities and generate proposals, white papers, and responses to capture new R&D funding opportunities.
  • Benchmark products from competitors in currently served segments to identify new product or enhancement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver technology projects on time and within budget.
  • Monitor project progress, mitigate risks, and resolve issues.
  • Develop and pitch product ideas to customers and stakeholders to drive internal and external investment in new products.
  • Collaborate with and support the sales team to drive customer investment to meet business targets.
  • Ability to lecture at tradeshows, owner groups, and directly with customers about both FMD technology and future technology as it relates to the DoD.
  • Support sales and participate in key industry events and customer meetings through presentations as appropriate to promote the product, services, and overall FMD brand.
  • Author technical white papers and application briefs related to products.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in technology leadership roles.
  • Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, both domestic and international, as required.
  • This position requires access or potential access to Unclassified Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information, which is Not Releasable to Foreign Nationals (NOFORN) data.
