About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Cybersecurity Risk Management Professional to join our Santander Spain team. Based in Madrid, this role will play a critical part in supporting our cybersecurity efforts and ensuring the security posture of our infrastructure, people, and processes.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work closely with our cybersecurity, business, and technology teams to improve the security posture and IT hygiene across our business domains. This will involve:

  • BUILDING AND MAINTAINING STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH CIOs, BUSINESS LEADERS, AND PROJECT MANAGERS TO ACT AS A CYBER SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT AND SINGLE POINT OF CONTACT FOR CYBERSECURITY ISSUES AND INITIATIVES IN THE DOMAIN.
  • HELPING THE BUSINESS UNDERSTAND CYBERSECURITY RISKS, THREATS, AND ATTACKS, AND ASSISTING THEM IN IDENTIFYING, ASSESSING, MITIGATING, AND MONITORING CYBER RISKS EFFECTIVELY.
  • ENSURING PRODUCTS AND APPLICATIONS ARE DEVELOPED FOLLOWING SECURITY STANDARDS AND GUIDELINES.
  • REDUCING THE ATTACK SURFACE OF THE BUSINESS DOMAIN BY TRACKING, PRIORITIZING, AND REMEDIATING INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL VULNERABILITIES.
  • REPORTING TO RELEVANT STAKEHOLDERS ON THE STATUS OF THE SECURITY POSTURE AND PROGRESS OF CYBER INITIATIVES IN THE DOMAIN.

What You'll Bring

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A DEGREE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE, ENGINEERING, OR A SIMILAR FIELD.
  • AT LEAST 6-8 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN CYBER RISK MANAGEMENT/INFORMATION SECURITY, WITH A FOCUS ON FINANCIAL SERVICES.
  • GLOBAL VISION OF CYBERSECURITY.
  • KNOWLEDGE IN IT OPERATIONS AND PROCESSES.
  • EXCELLENT WRITTEN AND VERBAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS, INTERPERSONAL AND COLLABORATIVE SKILLS, AND THE ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE INFORMATION SECURITY AND RISK-RELATED CONCEPTS TO TECHNICAL AND NONTECHNICAL AUDIENCES.

Location and Salary

This role is based in Madrid, Spain, and we offer an attractive salary range of €80,000 - €110,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a range of benefits, including professional development opportunities and a supportive working environment.
