Maritime Infrastructure Construction Project Manager

This position requires a highly experienced project manager to lead a complex port expansion project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maritime infrastructure construction and be able to oversee all phases of the project, from design to completion.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the project is completed within the established timeline, budget, and regulatory framework. They will also be responsible for direct oversight of on-site construction activities, including contractor coordination, quality control, risk management, and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders. Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  2. Team Management: Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, architects, contractors, and support staff. Assign responsibilities and monitor team performance to ensure alignment with project goals.
  3. Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, regulatory bodies, and third parties. Facilitate regular progress meetings and maintain transparent communication with stakeholders.
  4. Budget and Resource Management: Prepare and monitor project budgets, ensuring cost control and financial efficiency. Allocate resources effectively to meet project objectives.
  5. Risk and Quality Control: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks. Implement quality assurance measures to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
  6. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience managing large-scale construction projects in the maritime or heavy civil engineering sector.
  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in construction companies, managing direct execution of infrastructure projects. Experience in consulting firms does not qualify.
  • Proficiency in English (C1); Spanish is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, strategic planning, and stakeholder management skills.
