About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team at Qlik. As a pivotal member of our organization, you will be responsible for empowering businesses with cutting-edge data integration, data quality, and data governance technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Own the customer relationship from a technical perspective, becoming a trusted advisor for the implementation and ongoing adoption of Qlik Talend Data Integration.
  • Innovative Projects: Work at the bleeding edge of data technology, solving significant data challenges and creating impactful outcomes.
  • Customer Empowerment: Help customers fully utilize their subscriptions, ensuring rapid Time-To-Value and unlocking the full potential of our software.
  • Collaborative Engagement: Partner closely with Customer Success Managers and other customer-facing roles, ensuring coordinated and successful customer outcomes.
Requirements
  • Industry Experience: Minimum of 8 years in a data engineering field, managing multiple customers and projects. Proficiency in Data Warehouse.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency implementing data replication, change data capture and ELT solutions is essential, preferably using Qlik technologies. Demonstrable experience with Oracle, DB2 (iSeries or z/OS), SQL Server, and/or more of Snowflake, Databricks, Google BigQuery, Cloudera, Hortonworks, Hive or Kafka. Some experience with Talend Data Fabric would be an advantage.
  • Development Skills: Experience in scripting languages such as Powershell and Python, RESTful APIs, and SQL. Knowledge of DevOps solutions and container technologies is an advantage.
  • Cloud Solutions: Expertise in designing and deploying complex data solutions for cloud providers, particularly Azure or AWS.
  • Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with Windows & Linux Servers, networking, SSO-related software, and security technologies.
  • Soft Skills: Strong client-facing consultative skills, creative problem-solving ability, and the capacity to work independently or as part of a team. Ability to multi-task and prioritise work across a number of assigned customers. Ideally Bachelors in a relevant field.
  • Language Skills: Business-level English. Additional European languages are advantageous, especially Business-level French.
