The Role of Senior Data Integration ExpertThis position is crucial in driving sales by combining deep technical expertise with a strong commercial mindset. You will lead the technical sales process for the Qlik Talend portfolio, deliver product presentations, run proof-of-concept tests, and support demand generation through marketing events.
You will collaborate with partners and the channel to strengthen our data integration ecosystem. Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand client needs and propose suitable Qlik integration solutions.
- Prepare materials and demos according to each sales opportunity.
- Identify strengths and weaknesses compared to competitors in the market.
- Facing technical discussions about client data integration projects or debating good practices at events.
- Participating in online and in-person marketing events to show the value of Qlik Talend solutions.
- Helping solve queries from the partner channel.
- Providing innovation and ideas to enrich the knowledge of the Qlik Iberia team.
- Contributing to groups of specialists in the subject area, learning from other EMEA colleagues.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience of at least 5 years in data integration (ETL, CDC, Data Governance, Data Quality, API integration) and roles like Pre-Sales, Sales Engineer, Technical Consultant.
- Excellent public communication skills and synthesizing complex concepts.
- At least 3 years of experience with the Talend portfolio or other Data Integration products.
- Ability to work with multiple teams and technical, commercial, local, or international environments.
- Autonomy to lead own initiatives in innovation and resources to solve technical problems.
- Ability to travel between Madrid and Barcelona, occasionally attending international face-to-face events.
- Hybrid working method; occasional office presence not required for all meetings.
- Motivation for the world of Data Integration and its benefits.
- Ability to understand and communicate in English at a business level.
- Extensive experience in multiple databases, DL, and DW (SAP, Oracle, SQL, Databricks, Snowflake).
- Knowledge of DAMA standards.
- Familiarity with data integration tools like Informatica suite, Fivetran, SAP Datasphere, MS Fabric.
- Experience integrating with APIs.
- Languages: Native Spanish, fluent English.
