AWS Data Center Operations Job Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a fast-paced technology company and a leading provider of cloud computing services. We are looking for technical engineers who are interested in joining an elite team and eager to learn the skills necessary to maintain and operate our data centers.

The successful candidate shall follow standard processes and procedures and maintain high operational standards in supporting advanced hardware, servers, storage, and networking devices. They need to adapt to a fast and constantly changing environment and will require shift work including weekends and holidays on a 7x24 basis.

  • Incident first responder and onsite hands-on support
  • Break-fix and troubleshooting according to process guidelines
  • Maintain proper media operations according to process guidelines
  • Capacity landing and decommissioning according to process guidelines
  • Site management and maintain tidiness in operation areas
  • Innovate and contribute from day-to-day operation experiences to improve operation efficiency
Requirements

We are looking for candidates with a strong background in IT and computer science, with a minimum of 1 year experience in server and network hardware maintenance and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have a basic knowledge of network cabling (fiber optic) and operation support experience, as well as a sound understanding of incident response and prioritization. Basic level of English in read/write and verbal communication is required.
