Job Overview

The Software Engineering Team Lead position at Proton offers an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team and play a key role in shaping the future of online security and privacy. As a leader, you will be responsible for guiding our software engineering team in developing cutting-edge solutions that meet the ever-evolving needs of our users.

This is a remote job, which means you can work from anywhere and have a flexible schedule. However, we do require regular video meetings with your team and occasional travel to meetups and conferences.

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000, depending on experience and qualifications. This range reflects the company's commitment to providing competitive compensation packages that reflect the value we place on our employees' skills and contributions.

Job Responsibilities

As a Software Engineering Team Lead at Proton, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Leading cross-functional teams to develop high-quality software products and features
  • Mentoring and coaching junior engineers to help them grow and develop their skills
  • Collaborating with product owners and stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Communicating technical plans and progress to non-technical stakeholders
  • Participating in design documents, proposals, and code reviews to ensure quality and efficiency
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in software development, preferably in a leadership role
  • Strong technical expertise in programming languages such as PHP, TypeScript, and JavaScript
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and Scrum practices
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
