As a Principal Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of data-driven decision-making at Siemens Energy. Our Enterprise Data & Advanced Analytics organization is seeking a visionary leader to drive the development and delivery of our enterprise data and AI strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define the target data architecture for Siemens Energy's data estate, considering business areas, data domains, and data products.
  • Act as a product owner of our data platform and technology services, defining platform requirements and roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with data owners and delivery teams to design and execute key initiatives, defining MVP scope and outlining future enhancements.
  • Work with enterprise architects and IT organizations to define data integration requirements and access control frameworks.
  • Advocate modern software development practices and promote scrum and SAFe frameworks.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in data & analytics, data architecture, and team leadership.
  • Excellent understanding of data ingestion, modeling, and analytics, with expertise in database and data warehouse modeling.
  • 10+ years of experience in developing streaming and batch data pipelines for cloud and hybrid infrastructures.
  • Hands-on experience with modern software development tools and cloud providers in data architecture (AWS, Azure).
