Research Scientist for Paint Formulation and Analysis

CIDETEC Surface Engineering is a leading research centre in surface engineering, with a strong focus on coatings and surface treatments. We are seeking an expert in paint formulation and analysis to join our Nanosurfaces Unit.
The successful candidate will work on the development of functional coatings, addressing major challenges in various industries, while maintaining a focus on sustainability. They will be responsible for the formulation and modification of paints, as well as the analysis of their chemical and physical properties.
The researcher will work in close contact with prominent companies in sectors such as aeronautics, automotive, and energy. They will join a multidisciplinary team and will be responsible for managing and planning R&D projects, interacting with clients, and promoting the functional coatings research line.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulation and modification of paints
- Analysis of chemical and physical properties of paints
- Management and planning of R&D projects
- Direct interaction with clients
- Reinforcement and promotion of the functional coatings research line
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or similar
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Sound knowledge and experience in paint formulation and analysis
