We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team at Amazon. As a Cloud Technical Consultant, you will play a key role in providing consultative architectural and operational guidance to our Independent Software Vendor (ISV) customers in New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities
- You will build solutions, provide technical guidance, and advocate for the customer to ensure they achieve the greatest value from AWS.
- Ensure AWS environments remain operationally healthy while reducing cost and complexity.
- Develop trusting relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and technical challenges.
- Using your technical acumen and customer obsession, you will drive technical discussions regarding incidents, trade-offs, and risk management.
- Consult with a range of partners from developers through to C-suite executives.
- Collaborate with AWS Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services Consultants, and Sales Account Managers.
- With a bias for action, you will proactively find opportunities for customers to gain additional value from AWS.
- Provide detailed reviews of service disruptions, metrics, and detailed prelaunch planning.
- Being part of a wider Enterprise Support team, you will provide post-sales, consultative expertise.
- Solve a variety of problems across different customers as they migrate their workloads to the cloud.
- Uplift customer capabilities by running workshops, brown bag sessions, etc.
About the Team

Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role as a Technical Account Manager, Consultant, Solutions Architect, Cloud Architect, Service Delivery Manager, Platform Engineer, Systems Engineer, etc.
- Expertise in two or more technical domains (e.g. System administration, networking, programming, dev ops, security, compute, storage, databases, big data, analytics, etc.)
- Internal enterprise or external customer-facing experience with the ability to clearly articulate to small and large audiences.
- Ability to juggle tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
