About the Role

Clarivate is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our global Accounting and Controllership team. This is a permanent role within the Group's International Controllership and Accounting function with specific responsibilities for our five French legal entities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure continued adherence to the group's reporting timetable, maintenance of controls, and a continued drive for increased quality and efficiency of reporting.
  • Accountable for the effective and timely delivery of the monthly close activities and supporting the associated reporting for the relevant business groups.
  • Assist with the production and submission of local statutory and compliance requirements, including the preparation of the monthly FEC files, and meeting the quarterly reporting requirements for the Clarivate Group.
  • Support and control of the business units' balance sheets and ensure that the financial statements reflect local and international standards as well as complying with the Sarbanes Oxley recommendations.
Requirements
  • Qualified accountant (or by experience)
  • 5-7 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Strong financial and management accounting background
  • Comprehensive knowledge of French GAAP and good understanding of US GAAP
  • Working knowledge of French fiscal and social tax declarations
  • Excellent analytical review skills
  • Effective interpersonal communication as a good interlocutor
  • Fluent French and English speaker
  • Experience within a large global services organisation
  • End to end accounting process understanding
  • Comfortable with working autonomously
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong customer focus work ethic

About the Team

This role reports into the Senior Manager, Accounting for France working as part of a team of 3 and part of the wider controlling and accounting department.

Working Arrangements

This is a full-time, permanent role based in France on a fully remote basis or on a hybrid basis from either our London or Barcelona offices.
