Job Summary:
Nordex SE is seeking a highly skilled Load Calculation Engineer for Field Support to join our team. As a Load Calculation Engineer for Field Support, you will play a critical role in supporting our field operations by performing load calculations for site-specific conditions, documenting results, and providing technical support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform load calculations for site-specific conditions to ensure optimal turbine performance.
- Document results and provide technical support to field teams.
- Support root cause analysis for field issues and provide solutions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize controller functions and design components.
- Support project work according to Nordex project management system.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of toolchain and methodologies.
Requirements:
- M. Sc. or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering/Physics or similar with specialization in dynamics and simulation.
- Knowledge of recognized standards such as IEC.
- Professional experience with aerodynamic simulation tools such as Bladed, Alaska, HawcStab, Flex5.
- Good knowledge of dynamic simulations of complex systems in industrial applications and fatigue analysis methodologies.
- Flexibility and dynamism in task execution, ability to work as a team, and transverse communication.
- Fluent in English, ideally with skills in Spanish and German.
- 5 years of experience in similar roles/functions.
- Availability to travel.
