Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Associate Director, External Art Producer to join our team and contribute to the development of our next great game.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Leads: Engage with game leads to understand and foster the game vision, performance goals, quality expectations, and backlog.
- External Art Team Management: Handle outsourcing budgets and forecast future costs, ensuring successful delivery.
- Production Planning: Build and maintain the production plan and scope in partnership with the team and leads.
- Vendor Management: Engage with and lead external vendors responsible for converting parts of the art pipeline, ensuring they meet project standards and timelines.
- Art Pipeline Optimization: Ensure that art pipelines are followed and update them when necessary to improve efficiency and quality.
- Team Collaboration: Partner with area leads to ensure full understanding of production requirements and constraints.
- Problem-Solving: Guide the game team and external vendors to proactively identify and mitigate emerging problems and risks.
- Culture Development: Encourage and support a positive, feedback-focused culture in your team.
Requirements:
- Game Development Experience: Have contributed to the development, release, and/or service operations of at least one game or live digital product.
- Art Team Leadership: Extensive experience in running art-intensive teams and leading all aspects of art vendor management.
- Leadership Skills: Champion a team culture of trust and respect, where open feedback, accountability, and courage to experiment quickly and learn are the norm.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
