As a Welding Specialist - Fabrication Expert at Mentor Technical Group, you will be responsible for using advanced welding techniques to fabricate high-quality metal components for various industries.
About the Role
This position requires a strong foundation in welding principles, techniques, and safety protocols. You will work closely with our team to design and fabricate custom metal components, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Use electricity and torches to produce heat and solder together components made from steel, titanium, copper, and other metals.
- Weld small components like copper plumbing for residential use and large ones like pipelines for power plants or beams for buildings and bridges.
- Consult blueprints and sketches in order to execute jobs and tasks to specification.
- Assess equipment, structures, materials, and job specifications for appropriate welding positions and methods.
- Monitor equipment for appropriate usage and temperature.
Requirements
- High school diploma, Associate Degree or Technical College Degree. Formal Training Through a Vocational or Technical School.
- Read blueprints, Understanding of Electricity, Attention to Detail, Manual Dexterity, Spatial Skills, Technical Skills.
- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel, or operate equipment, tools, or controls.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, talk, or hear; sit; climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and smell. The employee may lift and/or move up to 25-35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
