Data Center Construction Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager to lead the management of General Contractors on one or more data center construction sites. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the construction process, ensuring compliance with contract documents, and maintaining high standards for safety and security.
About Amazon Data CentersAWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and ensure our customers have continual access to innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Manage General Contractors on multiple data center construction sites, including oversight and review of civil, structural, architectural, electrical, mechanical, controls, and commissioning disciplines.
- Be based from site construction offices, acting as Amazon's representative and first responder in case of issues.
- Inspect and review construction work, including site safety, project quality control, commissioning process support, and review of submittals and project documents for compliance.
- Undertake strategic commercial management of construction contracts, ensuring compliance and supporting negotiations with general contractors and internal procurement partners.
- Record and report key construction/commercial metrics, including schedule, cost, and budget reporting and forecasting.
- Proven experience in construction project management, preferably in a data center environment.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety protocols, and quality control measures.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex construction claims and variations.
