We are seeking a highly skilled Threat Intelligence Strategist to join our team at Canonical. As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will be responsible for developing and executing our threat intelligence strategy, working closely with internal stakeholders and the wider cybersecurity community.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Own Threat Intelligence Strategy: Create and implement a comprehensive threat intelligence strategy that aligns with Canonical's business objectives.
- Lead Intelligence Gathering and Development Activities: Conduct research and analysis to identify and track targeted intrusion cyber threats, trends, and new developments by cyber threat actors.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with internal teams, including product and engineering, to inform on activity of interest and advise on mitigation strategies.
- Contribute to the Wider Threat Intelligence Community: Establish Canonical as a key contributor and thought leader in the threat intelligence space.
- Work with Product and Engineering Teams: Explain cybersecurity threats and advise on mitigation strategies to ensure the security of our products and infrastructure.
- Experience in Threat Intelligence: Proven experience in threat intelligence, with a strong understanding of the current open source threat landscape and computer networking/infrastructure concepts.
- OSINT Tools and Techniques: Highly competent with OSINT tools, including Buscador, Trace Labs OSINT VM, OSINT Framework, Maltego, Shodan, and social media scraping tools.
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to clearly articulate and tailor technical content to a variety of audiences.
- Travel Requirements: Ability to travel twice a year for company events.
- Professional Portfolio: A professional portfolio of OSINT-related scripts, tools, or frameworks.
- Community Involvement: Demonstrated involvement in the larger OSINT community.
- Education and Certifications: Degree qualified, with a bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a related field, and certifications in related areas.
