Your Role

We're seeking a full-time Senior Automation Systems Specialist to join our team in Barcelona. In this role, you'll take on a new challenge and apply your expertise in customer relationships to another level. You'll work closely with young and proactive teammates to develop innovative solutions for optimizing train maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Delivery: Be responsible for every part of the project delivery lifecycle, including requirement capture, detailed design, integration, verification, and validation.
  • Automation System Design: Ensure that industrial processes are adequate, timely, and of high quality to achieve project objectives.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams to define architecture and generate specifications.
  • Testing and Commissioning: Perform factory acceptance testing and commissioning on clients' sites.
  • Maintenance Support: Provide maintenance support, including fault finding, diagnosis, and upgrades.
  • Innovation: Propose new R&D initiatives and gather ideas from inside and outside the company.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A degree in engineering or computer science.
  • At least 4 years of experience in similar positions.
  • Experience implementing automation systems (preferably with Beckhoff PLCs).
  • Knowledge of certification processes (CE) and railway standards.
