Job Purpose

The Project Engineer Cluster Arcos is responsible for delivering technical project management of small CAPEX projects. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing, monitoring, and updating cost and time estimation.
  • Coordinating all project activities and delegating tasks to dedicated functions.
  • Accountability for project risk management to ensure that project risks are identified, assessed, prioritized, and mitigated.
  • Providing monthly project status reports using endorsed tools and templates to alert management of any deviation from the approved project scope.
  • Planning human resource needs for assigned CAPEX projects following the selected Project Delivery Model.
  • Leading, coordinating, and motivating the project team members in the project work throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Managing internal and external stakeholder relations and expectations.
  • Ensuring compliance with Sibelco regulations and other requirements and constraints defined during the project lifecycle phases.
  • Monitoring and ensuring the achievement of expected performances.
  • Ensuring that the CoE Handbooks and tools are implemented effectively in CAPEX projects.
  • Leading the lessons learned process from an engineering and technical project management perspective throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Sharing project management best practices with other Sibelco functions.
  • Providing input for Project Review Meetings.
  • Implementing performance management and Lean tools in project management.
  • Acting as a continuous improvement promoter in any activity in the cluster.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A safety mindset, with a focus on creating a safe and healthy work environment.
  • A practical understanding of the industrial mineral industry.
  • Focused expertise in technical project management and a basic understanding of mechanical, technical, and instrumental engineering.
  • Thorough knowledge of used software packages and programs (Office365, MS Teams, Skype, MS Project, Visio, drawings, and 3D model viewers).
  • Ability to motivate and convince people without having authority over them, and to think out of the box.
  • Fluent in English, with strong communication skills and the ability to interact with different levels in the organization.
