Job Summary:
Hitachi Energy is seeking a highly skilled Global Supplier Quality and Development Engineer to join their team. As a key member of the Global Supply Quality and Development team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and sustainability compliance of critical raw materials for the company's transformer business unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Category Quality Roadmap: Develop and execute a comprehensive supplier quality agenda to ensure sustainable quality in the category.
- Supplier Qualification: Evaluate the quality management system of suppliers and align on corrective actions with suppliers.
- Supplier Assessment (On-site Audits): Plan and conduct supplier on-site audits, corrective action plan alignment with suppliers, and verify effective closure of corrective action plan items.
- Parts Qualification: Lead the production part approval process (PPAP) for new supplier parts/materials, including coordination of trial parts and first article inspection activities with factory quality.
- Supplier Non-Conformity Resolution: Lead the non-conformity resolution process with suppliers in case of escalated technical issues from factories and ensure effective root-cause analysis and countermeasure implementation.
- Supplier Performance Monitoring: Monitor and consolidate supplier delivery and quality KPIs, critical non-conformities escalated from factories, and identify top concern suppliers within the category.
- Supplier Performance Improvement: Lead supplier performance improvement actions for targeted suppliers to meet customer and Hitachi Energy factories' expectations (following DMAIC and/or 8D methodology).
- Supplier Quality Agreement: Lead Supply Quality Assurance Agreement coverage in alignment with BU Category Manager.
- Interface with Other Functions and Suppliers: Closely collaborate with Category teams to support implementation of Category strategy.
Requirements:
- Knowledge in the process industry
- Ability to grow in the supplier quality area and develop global business experience
