The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in solution development and validation, including Telco Cloud Platform, RAN, Open RAN/O-RAN, LTE/4G and 5G deployments, OSS/BSS, platform models such as NFV and distributed/federated edge platforms (e.g. ETSI MEC).
This is a 100% remote position for individuals located in Spain.
Responsibilities and Requirements:- Design, validate, and optimize telecom solutions for fixed and/or mobile networks (Core & Access)
- Experience with NFVI and cloud native infrastructure for 4G/5G Core and Cloud RAN network functions
- Provide technical leadership on network design, solution integration and end-to-end solution validation of 5G solutions for Telco customers
- Act as a technical expert for 5G network workloads deployed across the hybrid cloud, core, edge, and radio technologies
- Solve complex problems independently through requirements gathering, industry research and collaboration with existing assets
- Proven record of working in large mobile network systems either as a member of technical staff for a network equipment provider or networking technology provider with expertise 5G solutions development, validation, optimization and lifecycle management
- Integration of virtualized and non-virtualized network services
- OSS architecture and orchestration
- VNF/CNF Lifecycle Management
- Good understanding of 3GPP specifications as related to CU and DU and RU
- Exposure & knowledge of O-RAN specs, TIP/OpenRAN projects, and/or ONF SD-RAN
- Hands-on experience in various virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware Kubernetes, Wind River, RedHat, etc.,), DevOps, lifecycle management and test automation
- In-depth technical knowledge and experience in designing and deploying Telco networks using cloud-native solutions
- Demonstrable experience and expertise in automation, performance, lifecycle management, public/hybrid cloud architectures
- OpenShift and OpenStack over GCP/AWS
