At Four Seasons Hotels Ltd, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Event Director to join our team at the Four Seasons Resort Mallorca at Formentor, Spain.
The successful candidate will have a clear sales and creative approach, with a strong ability to negotiate and organize groups and events, providing leadership and guidance to the catering and events team.
This is a key role within the Resort, with overall responsibility for achieving catering revenue goals, guest and employee satisfaction, and the financial performance of the department.
The Event Director will be responsible for:
- Negotiating with clients through creative and attractive menu presentations and event proposals to achieve maximum revenue/profit potential while satisfying client needs.
- Finalizing the requirements of confirmed bookings while maximizing revenue potential through upselling and ensuring effective communication with all departments for the success of the event.
- Conducting site visits with potential clients.
- Verifying that all involved departments have the most updated information regarding group and event requirements.
- Supervising the execution of all groups events.
The ideal candidate will have excellent Spanish and English communication skills, a positive attitude, and effective interpersonal skills. They will also have a high level of creativity, attention to detail, and organizational skills, as well as an outgoing personality with leadership experience and resilience in peak times.
Previous experience in a similar position (minimum of 3 years) within Luxury Hospitality is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher, is also essential. Knowledge of Golden Sales Catering and Opera is preferred.
