Design to Value Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Design to Value Engineer to join our Global Design to Value team at Hitachi Energy. As a key member of this team, you will have a direct impact on the portfolio of Distribution, Dry, and Traction transformers within our product family.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the reverse engineering and benchmarking activities within Design to Value deployment, driving process improvements and cost reductions.
- Manage and improve processes, coordinating activities with designated locations to enhance product margin enhancements.
- Lead the Design for Manufacturability (DFMA) activities, providing training on DFA and DFM concepts to team members.
- Conduct complex analysis to provide suggestions for improvements in operations and manufacturing processes.
- Support and lead analysis related to improvements in operations and manufacturing processes, organizing and facilitating cross-functional workshops within the domain of expertise.
- Perform product and process cost analysis with a thorough understanding of cost-contributing factors, gathering, analyzing, and interpreting product cost and technical data.
- Utilize all idea management tools within DtV Methodology, coordinating activities and supporting the site in Workshop and idea implementation stages.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, with higher formal education being meriting.
- 5+ years of experience in quality, manufacturing, product design, or related areas, with previous Manufacturing Process experience being a plus.
- Good command of English, allowing free communication in an international environment.
- Must be a team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong coaching skills to provide training and development for the organization.
- Working knowledge of new product introduction, manufacturing processes, design for manufacturability, and design for assembly principles of DFMA.
- Demonstrated commitment to product and process improvement, change agent with strong credibility and influence in the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate others and achieve results, with a willingness to travel 20% of the time.
