We are seeking a highly qualified Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) in the Geography Department and the GEMOTT research group. The successful candidate will play a key role in the ATRAPA project, focusing on survey data and public opinion to identify factors influencing public attitudes towards transformative urbanism interventions.
The postdoctoral researcher will be responsible for developing a conceptual framework to investigate personal, social, and contextual factors influencing public acceptability and opposition to Built Environment-based Sustainable Travel Interventions. They will also design and implement large-scale geolocated public opinion surveys across 8 European cities, and conduct longitudinal analysis of survey responses to track changes in attitudes over time.
The ideal candidate will have a PhD related to geography, social sciences, or environmental sciences, and expertise in survey design, public opinion research, statistical analysis, and proficiency in English. Additional European languages are a plus. The successful applicant will become a core member of the GEMOTT team and will be based at UAB's Geography Department.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a conceptual framework to investigate personal, social, and contextual factors influencing public acceptability and opposition to BESTI interventions.
- Design and implement large-scale geolocated public opinion surveys across 8 European cities.
- Conduct longitudinal analysis of survey responses to track changes in attitudes over time.
Requirements:
- PhD related to geography, social sciences, or environmental sciences.
- Expertise in survey design, public opinion research, statistical analysis, and proficiency in English.
- Additional European languages are a plus.

Selection process:
A single curricular phase and if necessary, a second interview phase.
