We are seeking an experienced IT Systems and Communications Director to join our team in Barcelona. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and optimization of our IT systems, ensuring top-tier performance, security, and scalability.

Job Summary

The IT Systems and Communications Director will lead our IT infrastructure excellence by driving strategic projects, enhancing communication systems, inspiring and mentoring teams, and championing security and compliance. You will also elevate performance with data, optimize resources and costs, and ensure that our technology solutions are aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead IT Infrastructure Excellence: Drive the design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of robust IT systems, ensuring top-tier performance, security, and scalability across servers, networks, and cloud platforms.
  • Enhance Communication Systems: Manage and innovate our communication platforms (VoIP, video conferencing, messaging tools) to foster seamless collaboration and boost productivity across teams.
  • Inspire and Mentor: Lead a talented IT team, providing mentorship and guidance while promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Drive Strategic Projects: Oversee high-impact IT projects, from system upgrades to new integrations, ensuring they are completed on-time, within scope, and aligned with business goals.
  • Champion Security and Compliance: Safeguard the organization's IT infrastructure by implementing proactive security protocols, staying ahead of emerging threats, and ensuring full regulatory compliance.
  • Elevate Performance with Data: Manage key performance indicators (KPIs), track system efficiency, and provide insightful reporting to senior leadership, continuously improving our tech solutions.
  • Optimize Resources and Costs: Manage budgets effectively and ensure cost-efficient allocation of resources, while continuously exploring innovative ways to maximize ROI.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience managing communications and infrastructures, preferably in the middle or big company.
  • Knowledge of public cloud technologies (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, etc).
  • Knowledge of network designs, including LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, and security protocols.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
