Fagron GmbH & CO. KG is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for purchasing and distributing pharmaceutical raw materials to regional subsidiaries.
The ideal candidate will have excellent negotiation skills, the ability to analyze market trends, and experience working with ERP systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Purchasing and distribution of product streams to regional subsidiaries
- Requesting, assessing, and selecting quotations on the basis of product specifications
- Negotiation of material prices, payment terms, and incoterms and/or services portfolios in accordance with business strategy
- Monitoring order processes to ensure timely delivery of purchase orders and managing suppliers proactively to avoid delays
- Entering purchase orders, processing, and maintaining data in the ERP system
- Monitoring inventory levels and tracking lead times in collaboration with the planning and logistics team
Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform supplier evaluation to assess quality and reliability of suppliers, pricing, and other purchasing conditions
- Screen the market using available databases and sources to find alternative suppliers with competitive conditions
- Follow up commercial opportunities and actively seek better price and product availability as part of continuous improvement of purchasing conditions
- Contribute ideas about purchasing strategy and come up with proposals to optimize efficiency of purchasing
- Continuously and actively follow market trends
This role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent education, preferably in procurement/sales/business/supply chain, and minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a buyer of direct or indirect materials.
