We are seeking a highly skilled Paralegal to provide legal assistance to attorneys in the Chancellor's Office at UC Santa Cruz. The successful candidate will act as a liaison with internal clients, outside counsel, and external organizations, compiling data from various sources and assembling, proofing, and editing drafts of documents. The Paralegal will also prepare and file legal documents, conduct research, and assist in analyzing documents and counseling on the progress of cases.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide paralegal support to the Campus Counsels
Conduct research and in-depth factual investigations
Review and analyze documents, contracts, and legal correspondence
Prepare correspondence, memoranda, and other documents
Communicate with University personnel, outside counsel, and opposing counsel
Requirements:
Strong analytical and research skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong organizational and time management skills
Working Conditions:
