**The Role**
We're seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our team. As a Data Engineer at Spark Digital & Analytics, you will be the architect behind our clients' data-driven journeys. You'll design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure that enable seamless data integration, storage, and analysis.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
- Design and implement robust ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources into our data warehouse.
- Optimise and maintain data pipelines for performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and metadata to ensure data integrity and consistency.
- Implement data quality checks and monitoring to ensure the accuracy and reliability of our data assets.
**Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with a strong background in data modelling, ETL, and data warehousing.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python (PySpark) and/or Scala, with experience working with data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark or Apache Flink.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and experience with related services (e.g., AWS Glue, Google BigQuery, Azure Data Factory).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
