We are seeking an experienced Data Insights Business Consultant to join our team at Dragons Group, a global independent creative agency. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in transforming our internal operational data into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review end-to-end business processes and technologies to ensure that data is being gathered consistently.
  • Partner with the technology and operations teams to ensure that we are using our tools optimally.
  • Data Collection & Organization: Gather, structure, and maintain all relevant data from various departments across the company, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Leverage our data visualization tools to produce and present detailed reports that provide insights into key business metrics, trends, and opportunities.
  • Use these insights to guide strategic decision-making processes.
  • Excel Mastery: Utilize advanced Excel skills to manipulate large datasets, create complex models, and automate reporting processes.
  • This includes proficiency with formulas, pivot tables, charts, and VBA (Visual Basic for Applications).
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, and operations, to understand their data needs and provide timely, relevant reports and analyses.
  • Consultancy Approach: Apply a consultancy mindset to identify areas of improvement within the company's data management processes, offering recommendations to optimize data use and improve business outcomes.
  • Advertising Sector Insight: Leverage any prior experience in the advertising sector to understand industry-specific metrics, helping to tailor reports and analyses to meet the unique needs of the business.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in data analytics and business intelligence, continually enhancing the quality and effectiveness of reports.

Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in data analysis, business consulting, or a related field, ideally within the advertising sector.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel, including the ability to use complex formulas, pivot tables, and VBA.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the advertising sector or a strong understanding of its key metrics is highly desirable.
  • Consultancy Background: Previous experience in a consultancy role, with a focus on data-driven decision-making, is advantageous.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Data Analytics, Marketing, or a related field.
