As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of German SME clients, identifying their needs, and selling value components to create greater customer engagement. You will also proactively manage an effective pipeline, identifying and prioritizing opportunities to achieve and exceed profitable growth targets.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing a portfolio of German SME clients with a clear focus on portfolio growth and long-term account retention strategy

Identifying client needs with products and services and selling appropriate value components to create greater customer engagement

Proactively managing an effective pipeline, identifying and prioritizing opportunities to achieve and exceed profitable growth targets

Consistently seeking out new sources for expansion opportunities, such as self-generated, client referrals, subsidiaries, or sister companies

Ensuring premium value is delivered aligned with client goals, delivering a positive customer experience, and achieving customer advocacy

Requirements:

Proficient or bilingual in German and advanced English

Background working for/in the German Market

Self-driven and results-oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on achieving and exceeding targets and goals

Challenger mindset with the ability to think creatively to identify new business opportunities

Natural forward planner who is highly organized and has the ability to manage multiple customers at different stages of the sales process

Exceptional communication skills, ability to speak confidently with senior executives, capacity to influence decision-makers

Ability to quickly gain an in-depth understanding of each client's needs to drive results and identify new business opportunities

Strong negotiation skills and consultative sales skills
