Senior Director Epidemiology Lead

About the Role:
The Senior Director Epidemiology will lead epidemiology activities and projects in support of new drug development and post-marketing drug safety for marketed products. This role is responsible for designing, conducting, analyzing, and reporting pharmacoepidemiologic research studies of assigned DS products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Integration of Epidemiology into developmental process and post-marketing safety: The epidemiologist will lead a major project area, designing and coordinating all aspects of epidemiologic research programs according to DS strategy.
- Preparation of reports to communicate epidemiologic study results to DS management, internal committees, external investigators, and regulatory agencies.
- Responsible for drafting related sections and/or supporting documents independently, reviewing documents within epidemiology and safety, and across functions.
- Leading the assessment, interpretation, and communication of relevant scientific literature reviews; summarizing epidemiologic data and communicating appropriately to the requester.
- Contributing to the scientific literature in the form of manuscripts and publications and presenting them at professional scientific meetings.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in epidemiology, with experience in leading epidemiology activities and projects. Excellent communication and analytical skills are required, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
