Senior IT Security Specialist/Manager

Hostaway is seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Security Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for protecting our digital assets, ensuring the security of our systems, networks, and data. This role is ideal for a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about safeguarding technology infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive security policies, protocols, and procedures.
Handle and oversee device and end-point security.
Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and penetration tests to identify and mitigate potential risks.
Lead the investigation and response to security incidents, working with stakeholders across the company to ensure issues are resolved while minimizing impact.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices for data protection and privacy.
Educate employees on security best practices and conduct regular training sessions to promote awareness.
Generate detailed reports on the security status of the organization, including incident reports and risk analysis.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT Security, within a tech start-up or scale up.
Experience implementing and managing device and end-point security systems and processes.
Proven experience in identifying, assessing, and mitigating security threats within a fully cloud-based business environment.
Experience coordinating penetration testing and collaborating with Engineering on remediation.
Experience remotely supporting a distributed workforce.
Strong customer centric mindset.
Fluent in English (Writing/Speaking).
